Philadelphia's KYW News Radio broadcasted a segment on the record $22 million insurance bad-faith settlement reached by Ross Feller Casey's Matt Casey this week.

The settlement involved a major insurance company's refusal to pay a $250,000 policy for Patrick Hennessy, who, at the age of 24, was involved in a 2009 car accident that led to the amputation of his leg.

The legal outcome is the largest settlement in a bad-faith case in Pennsylvania history.

Casey called the landmark settlement with the largest insurance company in America a "David v. Goliath story."

"This young man was courageous, and he didn't back down, and that's a lesson for all of us," Casey told KYW reporter Molly Daly.
