Robert Ross and Matt Casey were among the lawyers who reached a $29.6 million settlement in the collapse of Pier 34 in Philadelphia. Three people were killed and dozens of others where injured as a night club at the end of the pier fell into the Delaware River in May 2000.
The property owner and manager of the club were criminally charged for failing to maintain and repair the foundation of the pier despite warning signs of a possible collapse.
