Ross Feller Casey's Mark A. Hoffman and Brian J. McCormick, Jr. were picked by The Legal Intelligencer to its Top 10 Lateral Hires list for 2014.

In compiling the list, The Legal Intelligencer, the nation's oldest law journal, said it took into account "the effect the departure had on the former firm, the impact the lateral addition represented for the new firm and the buzz around the market when the move took place."

Hoffman, an internationally recognized physician and trial lawyer, joined Ross Feller Casey in February 2014 and focuses his practice on mass-tort litigation involving dangerous pharmaceutical drugs.

McCormick, considered among the nation's leading mass tort and whistleblower lawyers, joined Ross Feller Casey in April 2014. His practice includes pharmaceutical mass tort litigation and qui tam cases.

The newspaper announced the list on its website. A special print supplement focusing on the Top Lateral hires will be published Feb. 24.
