Matt Casey, a founding partner at Ross Feller Casey, LLP, appeared on NPR’s popular program All Things Considered reacting to former FBI Director Louis Freeh’s scathing report on Penn State’s response to the Sandusky child sexual abuse allegations.
Casey spoke to reporters moments after Freeh concluded his press conference July 12 in Philadelphia.
In comments NRP used to wrap up its report on the story, Casey said:
“The case, after today, is no longer one simply of negligence, of ordinary negligence. It’s one of out-and-out recklessness. And under the law, they are different, and reckless conduct is punishable by what are called punitive damages.”
Ross Feller Casey is part of a legal team representing multiple victims of Sandusky, including three who testified at trial—those identified as Victim 3, Victim 7 and Victim 10.
