Pennsylvania's highest court ruled this week that an eye surgeon whose practice boasts corrective laser surgery on Tiger Woods must pay a Pittsburgh-area man more than $1 million for a procedure that left him with blurry and double vision.

The state Supreme Court rejected Dr. Mark Whitten's final appeal and ordered that he pay $1.07 million to David Cantalupo of North Huntington Township.

Earlier, a jury ruled that Whitten, whose practice is based in Rockville, Md., didn't properly advise Cantalupo that his thin corneas made LASIK eye procedure risky for him.

Because of the procedure, Cantalupo's vision in his left eye remains "very blurry, fuzzy, he sees double images," his attorney told The Associated Press. "If you just had to look through that eye, it would be impossible."
